What is a Meesho seller?
A Meesho seller — Meesho calls them suppliers — is a business that lists products on Meesho’s marketplace through the Meesho Supplier Panel. The supplier uploads catalogs, sets prices and packs orders; Meesho arranges pickup and delivery, and pays the supplier after delivery. Meesho charges 0% commission, and sellers without a GSTIN can register with an Enrolment ID or UIN to sell within their state.
Why sell on Meesho in 2026?
Meesho is India’s value marketplace. Its shoppers skew towards Tier 2, 3 and 4 towns, compare prices hard and decide from a phone-sized catalog card — often after a catalog is forwarded on WhatsApp. With no commission on the sale, the price you list, minus shipping and fees, is what reaches your bank.

How to start selling on Meesho: 7 steps
Registration is free and fully online. Most delays come from a PAN that doesn’t match the bank account, the wrong category or images that fail the catalog check — handle them in this order.
- 1
Keep your details ready
Mobile number, email, PAN, an active bank account in the same name, a pickup address, and either a GSTIN or an Enrolment ID/UIN. Non-GST sellers generate the Enrolment ID on the GST portal under the option for suppliers selling through e-commerce operators.
- 2
Register on the Meesho Supplier Panel
Select Start Selling on supplier.meesho.com, verify your mobile with OTP, then add GST or Enrolment ID details, pickup address, bank account and store name.
- 3
Plan catalogs, not single products
A Meesho catalog groups related products under one listing. Pick the exact category, then use Add Single Catalog for a few SKUs or the bulk Excel template for large ranges.
- 4
Shoot a complete image set
Front, back, detail, on-model and size chart for every product, following the 2026 image rules. For apparel, compare ghost mannequin, model and flat lay before you book.
- 5
Price on landed cost
Zero commission doesn’t mean zero cost. Build shipping, GST on fees, returns and discounts into the price — see Meesho seller fees in 2026.
- 6
Pack and dispatch on time
Pack in plain, unbranded material, print the label from the panel and hand over at pickup. Late dispatch and cancellations hurt your supplier rating.
- 7
Get paid, then grow
Meesho pays on a 7-day cycle from delivery, including cash-on-delivery orders. Track returns and ratings weekly, then add ads and new catalogs on what already sells.
Meesho product image requirements 2026
Meesho reviews every catalog before it goes live, and images are the most common reason for rejection. The front image carries the thumbnail in search; the rest answer the questions a first-time online shopper will ask before buying.
| Rule | Front image | Other images |
|---|---|---|
| Shape | Square, 1:1 | Square, 1:1 |
| Size | 1,000 × 1,000 px recommended; 500 × 500 px minimum | Same |
| Background | White or plain light neutral | Lifestyle, studio colour or on-model |
| Product fill | About 70–80% of the frame, centred | As the shot needs |
| Text, logos, watermarks | Not allowed, including price stickers | Avoid; a size chart is the usual exception |
| Products per image | One product; no colour collages | One product; list colours as separate products |
| File | JPEG or PNG, uploaded directly — not a Google Drive link | Same |
Sizes follow Meesho listing guidance widely used by suppliers in 2026. The upload screen in the Supplier Panel is the final word for each category.
The Meesho catalog image set we plan for every product
Meesho needs only one front image to list, but catalogs with a full set convert better and get fewer returns. The model shot, fabric close-up and size chart are the three images shoppers and resellers forward most.
- Image 1FrontProduct only, square, on white.
- Image 2BackSame framing and light as the front.
- Image 3Side or angleShape, depth and fit from the side.
- Image 4Detail close-upFabric, print, stitching or finish.
- Image 5On-model or in useFit and drape, or a hand for scale.
- Image 6Size chartMeasured on the garment, not copied.
- VideoShort vertical clipFor Video Finds and creator content.
Don’t cross-post your Amazon or Flipkart hero shots as they are
Images copied from another listing, brand badges and logo corners are frequent rejection reasons on Meesho. We export a separate Meesho version of every front image — square canvas, logo-free, reframed — from the same shoot, so one session covers every marketplace.
Selling on more than one marketplace? See our Amazon seller hub, Flipkart seller hub and Myntra seller hub, or our model photography in Delhi NCR, ghost mannequin photography and jewellery photography work.
“Meesho shoppers decide on a phone screen, often from a forwarded catalog. We export a square, logo-free front image for every product and measure every size chart on the garment — that’s what gets catalogs approved and keeps returns down.”
Meesho catalog content and Meesho Mall guidelines
Meesho has no A+ Content module. The listing is the catalog itself — image set, title, attributes and size chart — so those fields do the work A+ pages do on other marketplaces. Branded sellers can also list under Meesho Mall.
| Feature | Regular catalog | Meesho Mall |
|---|---|---|
| Who lists | Any registered supplier | Brand owners and authorised sellers |
| Proof needed | Standard supplier KYC | Trademark certificate or brand authorisation |
| Shopper signal | Ratings and price | Mall placement and the M-Trusted tag |
| Image rules | Standard catalog rules | Same rules; brand consistency matters more |
| Best fit for | Value, unbranded and private-label ranges | Beauty, personal care, footwear and accessory brands |

Catalog fields that decide approval
- Category — pick the most specific one; a wrong category is a common reason for rejection and poor visibility.
- Title — product type, material and key feature in plain words; no prices, offers or claims.
- Attributes — fill every mandatory field in the template; blank fields stop bulk uploads.
- Size chart — measured on the product; wrong sizing is the biggest driver of returns in fashion.
- MRP and price — a realistic MRP; inflated MRPs to show big discounts get flagged.
What gets Meesho catalogs rejected
- Blurry, pixelated or upscaled images.
- Watermarks, text, price stickers or logos on the front image.
- Google Drive links in the bulk template instead of uploaded images.
- Collages that show several colours or products in one frame.
- Images that don’t match the listed colour, variant or product.
- Duplicate catalogs, copied images and counterfeit or unauthorised brand products.
Video on Meesho: Video Finds, Live Shop and Creator Club
Meesho’s content commerce runs on three formats: Video Finds, short shoppable product videos inside the app; Live Shop, where sellers and creators sell in real time; and Creator Club, where creators partner with sellers and earn on the orders they drive (Meesho). Meesho named content commerce as a growth driver again in its Q1 FY27 results.
Short vertical clips that show fit, fabric movement or how a product works give creators something ready to post. We shoot them in the same session as your stills, so colour and styling match. See our ecommerce video production work.
Meesho seller fees and real costs in 2026
Meesho charges 0% commission in every category, and registration and listing are free (Meesho Supplier). That makes the other lines of the cost stack decide your margin.
- Forward shipping — charged per delivered order by packed weight and zone. Compact packaging keeps you in a lower slab.
- Reverse shipping — charged when a customer returns a delivered order.
- GST on fees — applies to shipping and other platform charges; model it per order.
- Returns and RTO — accurate colour, true scale and a measured size chart are the cheapest way to cut them.
- Ads and discounts — optional, but on a price-sorted marketplace they belong in your unit cost.
Shipping slabs are revised from time to time. Check the current rate card in the Supplier Panel before you set prices, and price on landed cost per delivered order.
GSTIN vs Composition vs Enrolment ID on Meesho
Meesho is the only large Indian marketplace that lets sellers without a GSTIN register. The route you choose decides where you can sell and which tools you get.
| Factor | Regular GSTIN | Composition GSTIN | Enrolment ID / UIN |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where you sell | All of India | Within your state | Within your state |
| Categories | All open categories | Permitted categories | Permitted categories |
| Meesho Ads | Available | Not available | Not available |
| When to switch | — | To sell outside your state | Above ₹40 lakh annual net sales (₹20 lakh in North-Eastern states) |
| Best fit for | Brands and growing suppliers | Small registered businesses | First-time and home-based sellers |
Based on Meesho’s non-GST seller page and supplier terms. Tax liability is decided by GST law; confirm your case with a CA.
Growth checklist for Meesho sellers

- Offer combos and multi-packs to raise order value without raising the unit price.
- Dispatch fast; join Next Day Dispatch where your operations allow it.
- Run ads only on catalogs that already convert organically (Regular GSTIN needed).
- Apply for Meesho Mall if you own a trademark or hold brand authorisation.
- Refresh front images before the Meesho Mega Blockbuster Sale and festive season.
- Give creators short videos to post through Creator Club and Video Finds.
- Review return reasons monthly and fix the catalog, not just the stock.
